Saving WAV data

From Version 3.0 onwards, the WAV data is always resident on disk so saving the data is no longer needed.

However, there is a EXPORT options, which allows the data to be saved outside the project directory. Exported files are not registered in the catalog.

Since it is outside the projected directory (and the catalog), a sidecar TXT file is automatically generated with the same name as the WAV file to capture the meta data. If the saved WAV file and corresponding sidecar file are reloaded, then any species or location data, or information about changes made to the file prior to saving will be restored.

Files are saved as single channel 32 bit floating point WAV format files.
